OUR BAD I wanted to express my thanks for Sara Donnelly’s article about Monday Nights in Portland (see "Monday Nights," Feb. 11). It was nice to read about the activities of some other Portland residents on the barren wasteland called Monday. I do feel it is necessary to clarify several points regarding Goth Nights and my involvement in them. First of all, the Monday night Goth/Fetish/BDSM scene has been active for much longer than six years . . . I’m sure many residents of the area enjoyed the night waaaay back when it was called "The Inquisition" and "Dominate the Species" at Zootz. Six years only represents my participation, since before that I wasn’t of age to attend such a fine establishment! Secondly, while I have and do attend many Monday nights in the past, unfortunately I have had to miss more than a few nights over the years. For now, my involvement is certainly on a regular basis, as my performance art troupe does perform monthly at Styxx (visit http://www.pv-scene.com if you would like to know more about us . . . or don’t, if you are scared or conservative!). Third, for the record, Mistress M is more than just a "Goth groupie," she is co-founder and co-director of PV-Scene, and has been more than integral to the success of our troupe. Props where they are due! Oh yeah, and my last name is correctly spelled N-I-L-S-E-N. Despite several incorrect facts, we got a kick out of the article. Thanks again!
