CASANOVA | 2005 | Casanova is a clever combination of an epic love story and comedy set in Venice during a time when the Roman Catholic Inquisition was well underway. Casanova (Heath Ledger) is known throughout town for being a very well-known ladies-man, and after being caught one too many times in a bad situation, Casanova is given a choice. Either he leaves Venice or he can settle down with a woman of good standing in the town. After chosing a bride, Casanova is taken aback by the young and firey Francesca (Sienna Miller). The problem is Francesca is already scheduled to become married in less than a month.
