In case you haven’t heard, there’s great news down Newmarket, New Hampshire, way. The Stone Church, whose doors have been closed for months, has been purchased by new owners who intend to open her back up and get the music started again. John Pasquale (a geologist), Paul Nessel (a computer-type), and Peter Hamelin (the chairman of the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce) have gone in together and say " We will maintain the unique character of this special and historic landmark, as well as add to her storied legacy by continuing to be a home for live music and entertainment. Our goal is to continue to provide our musicians and patrons with a pleasant environment to perform, listen, and dance to live music. We will be hard at making building improvements, outfitting the kitchen for the reintroduction of food service, and getting ready for the return of live music. " This is good news. These guys are no fly-by-nighters.

Rachel Griffin, who’s holding down a Sunday night gig at Bull Feeney’s, has got a new release for folks to buy at shows. I’m Such a Fool is another jazzy-pop number for your enjoyment, and features a single by the same name which is getting some WCLZ notice.
