After opening for the big and rich Big & Rich at Meadowbrook Farms and then filling their usual role on the country stage at the Old Port Festival this weekend, the Don Campbell Band head down to Nashville for the annual CMA Music Festival, where they’ll play both a full club show and an acoustic showcase. Then they do the meet and greet thing, with a booth right next to Alan Jackson. Maybe someday Campbell will be big and rich.

There’s some legitimate buzz surrounding this kid Ryan Montbleau. He just left with his band to play 19 shows in 20 days on a Midwestern swing that finishes up back home at the Free Street Taverna on July 19 (he has to rest up, right?). If you’re going down to Boston, you can see him off with a Bill’s Bar gig this weekend.

Third Floor View release their first CD this weekend with a show at the Station. It’s got a nice-looking package, but we haven’t heard it yet. Let the "Sibilance" staff know what you think by emailing sam@phx.com.
